As residents prepare for the upcoming January County Commission meeting on Jan. 28 at 5 p.m., where the Florence Landfill will finally be an agenda item, Gainey reflects on the number one outcome of the campaign: a livable space for those who live, and will live, in Southeast Gainesville. Gainey is known for his energy and dedication to his community, caring for the people around him and constantly rallying neighbors toward the unified cause of closing the dump. He wants to see Southeast Gainesville thrive.
